Adelizzi named new Schaumburg Township Committeeman
Monday, July 16, 2007 Chicago, Illinois July16, 2007 Cook County Republican Party Chairman Elizabeth Doody Gorman announced her decision for the Schaumburg Township Republican Committeeman in appointing Michael Adelizzi of Elk Grove Village. "I was thrilled to have so many people ask to be considered for the post," said Chairman Gorman. "Many candidates talked with pride about their Republican activities in the area. They all shared a vision for a united Schaumburg Township Republican Organization. The Township is, after all, the economic engine of suburban Cook County, and our Republican platform of less government and less taxation should attract more voters than the Democratic machine mantra of tax more, spend more," she added. Local Republicans have been very upset with the number of Democrat victories in the area. This was followed by the final party switching of their own State Representative and Committeeman Paul Froehlich. Mr. Adelizzi has lived in Schaumburg Township most of his life, and graduated from Schaumburg High School and the University of Illinois. Michael has served as a precinct captain and area chairman. "His advanced work for the Reagan campaign, Coordinator for the (Congressman Phil) Crane Campaigns and volunteer activities for local Senators Kay Wojcik and John Milner well equip him to take on the challenge of Township Committeeman." said Chairman Gorman Additionally, Mr. Adelizzi's stewardship as Executive Director of the Mason Contractors of America demonstrate his ability to grow a staff and oversee fundraising and budget planning, both fundamental components of a successful organization. When contacted about his appointment, Mr. Adelizzi said, "I am delighted to have been chosen from a group of very competent and competitive colleagues. It's surprising to me that Paul Froehlich would jump from a party that some say is dead in Schaumburg Township to one that is presiding over gridlock in Springfield. With Paul out of the way, we now have a chance to reach out to dedicated people that are eager to build a principled organization and elect bright articulate candidates that are visionary. Paul left us in shambles. Let's see what we can do when we get people involved that care more about making a difference than making government their profession. I plan to galvanize and renew grassroots tactics to turn the tide in 2008."
