Statement on Mike Walsh’s Withdrawal of Candidacy for Cook County Sheriff

Chicago, IL – On Friday, June 15, the Republican candidate for Cook County Sheriff, Michael Walsh, submitted his withdrawal of candidacy for the office of Sheriff. Michael stated that for personal reasons he could no longer commit the time required to run but assured his supporters that he would be back and would continue his grassroots efforts.

“To everyone that took time out of their busy lives to circulate petitions for me, I cannot thank you enough. I promise to stay involved in the community and will continue to build the Southwest Side GOP with the goal of promoting Republican ideas and values and working to elect Republican candidates up and down the ballot.”
