Chairman Morrison Announces Appointment of New Trier Township Republican Committeeman
Today, Sean M. Morrison, Chairman, Cook County Republican Party announced the resignation of New Trier Township Republican Committeeman Danielle Mergner.
“Today, I regretfully announce the resignation of Danielle Mergner from the post of New Trier Township Republican Committeeman. We are thankful for her service and wish her all the best,” said Morrison.
In Danielle’s place, Chairman Morrison is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathleen Myalls to the post of New Trier Township Republican Committeeman, effective immediately.
“It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Kathleen Myalls to the post of Republican Committeeman for New Trier Township. Kathleen’s qualifications and dedication to the Illinois GOP make her an outstanding candidate for the position, and I look forward to seeing the great work she will do,” said Morrison.
Kathleen is an experienced in-house and private practice attorney with strong leadership and organization skills. She has worked at Interpublic Group of Companies (NYSE: IPG), one of the world’s premier advertising and marketing services companies, since 2001 and has served as the company’s Assistant General Counsel since 2004. In addition to her exceptional professional career, Kathleen is also involved politically. Kathleen ran for State Representative in 2014 against Laura Fine and for New Trier Township Trustee in 2016, and spent time on Joan McCarthy Lasonde’s campaign to unseat Jan Schakowsky in the 9th Congressional District.
“I am thankful to Chairman Morrison for the opportunity to serve the citizens and voters of New Trier Township. I look forward to energizing the Republican base and supporting local candidates throughout the Township,” said Myalls.
The appointment takes effect immediately.
