Sean Morrison Resoundingly Re-elected as Chairman of the Cook County Republican Party
Chicago, IL – Cook County Republican Party Chairman Sean M. Morrison was resoundingly re-elected at the Cook County Republican Party’s County Convention held Wednesday evening in Edison Park, Chicago. Sean Morrison, who has held the Chairman’s position since 2016 garnered 81,422 or 87% of the weighted vote versus his challenger Committeeperson Eric Wallace of Rich Township who garnered 12,180 or 13% of the weighted vote.
“I’m honored to receive such tremendous support from my fellow colleagues on the Central Committee. I look forward to leading our collaborative efforts as a unified body that offers a clear and pragmatic alternative to the Democrat Party whose policies continue to fail Cook County at almost every turn,” stated Chairman Morrison.
Regarding being challenged for the party’s chairmanship, Morrison added, “the most important thing is that all Republicans come together in unison, realize we’re all on the same team and fight for the conservative principles our party stands for.”
