Statement by Chairman Sean Morrison on Recent Hate Crimes Against Jewish Citizens and Institutions
November 8, 2024
The Cook County Republican Party strongly condemns the recent wave of hate crimes targeting Jewish citizens at DePaul University, and the Chicago Loop Synagogue. These acts of violence and intimidation have no place in our community or our nation. We understand that these heinous actions are perpetrated by extremist elements, and we stand united in rejecting such hatred in all its forms.
We urge local, state, and federal authorities to thoroughly investigate these incidents and bring those responsible to justice. It is vital to safeguard the rights and safety of every member of our community, regardless of their faith or background.
We call upon all citizens to join us in denouncing these acts of anti-Semitism and to work together to build a society grounded in respect, tolerance, and unity. Hate has no home here, and we will not tolerate any attempts to divide or intimidate our fellow citizens based on their religious beliefs.
The Cook County Republican Party remains committed to standing against bigotry and supporting efforts to ensure that all residents can live in peace and security.
