Cook County GOP is sad to announce the passing of former Cook County GOP Chairman Sig Vaznelis of Lemont. Sig served as GOP County Chairman from 2011 to 2012. Sig is also the former GOP Committeeman for Lemont Township and served as Lemont Township Highway Commissioner for 24 years until 2017. Sig Vaznelis was truly a wonderful person to know and spend time with and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. We honor his decades long commitment to Lemont Township and the Republican Party. Our deepest condolences go out to the Vaznelis family for their loss.
