Chicago – Last week, Cook County Republican Party Chairman Sean Morrison announced the appointments of three individuals who will take on new leadership positions within the Cook County Republican Party.
Chairman Morrison named committee members Kevin Suggs of Bremen and Peter Amarantos of Northfield as Deputy Chairman while naming political consultant Clayton Turner as the new Executive Director of the Cook County Republican Party.
“Both Kevin and Peter have proven themselves to be valued members of our committee, while representing different areas within the county,” said Chairman Morrison. “The Cook County Republican Party is vital to our Party’s electoral success in Illinois and I’m honored to have leaders like these men beside me as we take the fight to reform Cook County.”
Chairman Morrison continued, “Additionally, I’m proud to announce the addition of Clayton Turner as our new Executive Director for the Cook County Republican Party. Clayton is a veteran of political campaigns across the country and his talents and experience as both a political operative and Party leader and activist will be essential to our long-term efforts in Cook County and I’m excited to have him on board.”
Kevin Suggs of Bremen Township and Peter Amarantos of Northfield Township will represent Cook County Republican Party as Deputy Chairmen. Both are current township committeemen from their respective townships.
Clayton Turner, an Alabama native, worked for the Alabama Republican Party and served in numerous Party leadership capacities including the State Party Steering Committee. Additionally, Clayton has worked on campaigns across the country and serves as Chief of Staff for the Young Republican National Federation. Clayton’s experience both as a Party leader and as an operative will provide the balance and leadership in our new position of Executive Director.
