PALATINE, IL – The Cook County Republican Party today released the first scorecard for the Committeemen Support Program. The Scorecard covers the 2nd Quarter of 2013 (April – June).
“I’m very proud of our Committeemen and their organizations. Over 80% of our township organizations have enrolled and 11 of those have earned the highest possible grade. The rest of the enrolled townships have been working diligently to improve their scores and further increase their effectiveness in promoting the Republican Party in their townships,” said Cook County Republican Party Chairman Aaron Del Mar.
Enrolled organizations receive an initial stipend and are eligible for further funding through the program. The funding each organization receives is directly tied to their score on the Scorecard. The Party projects that over $50,000 will be provided to Cook County Republican organizations this election cycle through the Committeemen Support Program, the first of its kind.
Del Mar explained the process: “Our goal is to ensure each of our organizations receive an A grade. To accomplish this, our team is actively helping each of the Committeemen and their organizations achieve the Scorecard milestones. This includes helping them develop a digital presence by building their website and getting them active on social media, providing new committeemen resources and guidance they hadn’t received to date, and assisting organizations with putting together and promoting their events.”
The next scorecard will be completed on September 15th and released to the public on September 16th. It will include Republican Ward Organizations in Chicago.
“We’re excited to see how much progress has been made this quarter. We’re expecting even more progress in the third quarter as our organizations prepare to assist our Republican candidates in passing their petitions to get on the ballot,” Chairman Del Mar concluded.
A copy of the scorecard is included with this release. To learn more about the Cook County Republican Party, visit www.CookRepublicanParty.com.
