New leadership comes to Chicago Republican Party with election of 38th Ward Committeeman Chuck Hernandez as Chairman

Chicago, IL – The Cook County Republican Party is very pleased to congratulate and welcome Committeeman Charles “Chuck” Hernandez as the newly elected Chairman for the Chicago Republican Party.

The Chicago Republican Party’s Central Committee met on May 15 to select its leadership where Hernandez was overwhelmingly elected.   Chairman Hernandez becomes the first Hispanic Chicagoan to lead the Chicago Republican Party.

“Congratulations to Chuck Hernandez on his election as Chairman. I look forward to working very productively with him to further the Republican Party in Chicago and throughout Cook County,” stated Cook County Republican Party Chairman Sean Morrison.

Chuck Hernandez, born and raised in the city of Chicago, recently retired as a Detective from the Chicago Police Department after 28 years of service. Chuck has served as 38th Ward Republican Committeeman since 2018. He and his wife are parents of three young adult college graduates.
