Today, Sean M. Morrison, Chairman, Cook County Republican Party announced the appointment of Jesus Solorio as the new 49th Ward Republican Committeeman.
“It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Jesus Solorio to the post of Republican Committeeman for the 49th Ward. Jesus’ extensive background in Republican politics and understanding of the 49th Ward will help him succeed in this position, and I look forward to seeing the great work he will do,” said Morrison.
Jesus is a lifelong Chicago resident. He has worked on numerous campaigns over the last decade, and currently works for the Illinois Republican Party as Senior Outreach Director. In addition, Jesus is the Chairman of the Illinois Republican National Hispanic Assembly and Treasurer of the Chicago Young Republicans. With his vast network and acute understanding of Republican politics, there is no doubt that Jesus is up to the task.
“I am thankful to Chairman Morrison for the opportunity to serve the citizens and voters of the 49th Ward. I am fully committed to energizing the Republican base and growing the Republican Party throughout the Ward,” said Solorio.
The appointment takes effect immediately.
